Photography

As a nightscape photographer, I travel to dark skies to collect photons from the stars. I can capture nighttime landscapes, time-lapse video, star trail images, and meteor shower composite images. Night photography is a personal way I can connect the wonders of space to the Earth we live upon. It’s a way of stitching together the seemingly mystical and the real world. It’s a brilliant means of storytelling.

My photos are frequently seen in NASA’s skywatching videos and social media content, as well as SkyandTelescope.com and LATimes.com, and my time lapse videos have been used in the launch trailers for the James Webb Space Telescope and the NASA+ streaming service.

Below are a few of my favorite photos and time lapse videos that I’ve captured. Find my latest photography on Flickr.

AND COMING SOON… Drone cinematography. I have my FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification, so I can now capture cinematic drone videos and photos from the air, day and night.
